Pride and Prejudice
Ok this was voted third favourite book by Australian readers last year. Have we all read it, and what do we think?

One of my favourite classics by one of my favourite authors (at the risk of sounding boring and pedestrian). I think I like this novel so much because it is so symmetrical and balanced. The language is well structured and the whole novel has a kind of yin/yang balance to it. Good and bad examples of character traits and behaviours. Lizzie is one of my favourite characters. I have a great copy of P&P from when I studied it for my HSC. Notes and references scribbled all the way through it. I haven't read it in years, but have recently picked it up again. I've quite enjoyed reading it having watched the BBC mini-series several times since I last picked it up. Noticing all sorts of little things that I hadn't realised were missing from the show. Ah, Austen.
