The House Book - Murdoch Books
I recently received this as a housewarming present and I have to say it's just about the best gift I've come across for that occasion. This book is full of tips for the kitchen, laundry, outdoors, minor repairs and just about everything else. The cover blurb says it has 'thousands of practical tips for cleaning, repairing and organising your home'. It has everything from how to take care of your computer and organise your pantry to how to unblock a toilet and how to fix small holes or cracks in walls and/or ceilings. This is great for someone who has just bought their own home, but also has plenty of useful advice for someone who is renting, particularly if they have just moved out of home for the first time. Two thumbs up from me. (now I just have to convince my husband to read all the handyman bits. :D )
