The Old Man and the Sea - Hemingway
Mif gave me this for Christmas last year (I mean, who hasn't secretly longed for Hemingway for Christmas...) and I finally got to read it on Mother's Day. I had braced myself for disappointment, after all, how interesting can a book about 3 days in the life of an old fisherman be? However, I thought the book was magnificent. The language was exquisite - colours, textures and shapes were described so clearly that I really could picture what was happening. I just loved it. Definitely ready for my next Hemingway fix. Any suggestions?
