This is a fantastic 'boys' own annual' style book for boys (obviously). It is just a very diverse collection of information and activities that boys might find interesting - different types of knots, how to make a paper plane, rules for rugby union/league/cricket, simple science experiments, morse code, Nato phonetic alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie etc). Everything from semaphore alphabets to historical facts to information about insects.
My 8 year old LOVES this book. There is now also an Australian edition (green) which is basically the same as the standard edition (red) except that it also contains a list of Australian Prime Ministers and other Australian facts.
This would make a great gift for any boy from around the age of 7-8 through to 12ish. It is a bit expense (RRP is $49.95), but I have found it at Big W for around $25. A great Christmas or birthday gift idea. _________________ Sooze

My 7 year old loves this too. And I think it would make a great gift to an adult as well. Maybe a new dad of a young son. My husband enjoys it too.
It even has cute old-fashioned advice about girls. _________________ From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere.
